Atta flour is a type of flour that is milled from semi-hard wheat (also referred to as durum wheat) and comprises a higher gluten content (11.5-13%) and greater elasticity. The elasticity of atta makes it good for producing a strong dough that can be rolled out thin. It is the flour that is used all throughout India and Asia to make various types of flat breads though our atta flour is milled in Australia using Australian Durum wheat.
Atta flour is most commonly used to make South Asian style flat breads such as chapati, roti, naan and puri.
