Raw Blanched Peanuts
Blanched whole peanuts are a great staple to use in cooking or to snack on their own. Technically they are not a nut, but part of the legume family being related to beans and pulses.
Blanched peanuts offer many health benefits. They are rich in monounsaturated fats, the type of fat found in olive oil that is emphasized in the heart-healthy Mediterranean diet. They are also a good source of Vitamin E, niacin, folate, protein and manganese. On top of this, peanuts contain the antioxidant resveratrol, which is said to improve blood flow in the brain by as much as 30%.
