Organic Rapadura Sugar
Organic rapadura sugar is made by evaporating the water from the organic sugar cane juice. It’s gorgeous silky fine texture and deliciously sweet caramel flavour make it great for baking with and it can be used in place of white sugar in most recipes. As it is not as heavily processed as white sugar, it has a grainy texture rather than crystallised and is also slightly rich in nutrients, however, as with all sugar, it should still be consumed in moderation.
Rapadura In the Kitchen?
Rapadura can be used in replacement of regular sugar in almost all baking includng cakes, biscuits and muffins. Note: it doesn’t work as a replacement for white sugar in making pavlova or meringe.
Hot Tip: Try adding rapadura in place of regular sugar to your hot chocolate for a well rounded and caramelised sweetness.

Rapadura is the least refined of all the sugars coming from the cane sugar plant.
