Spelt grain has become a popular alternative to wheat over the past few decades being used to make bread and other cereals. Spelt is said to be easier on digestion due to the lower gluten contain of the grain. Cooking Spelt Grain:
Cooking the spelt grain is simple following the 1 cup grain to 2 cups water and cooking for 45-50 minutes. We recommend soaking overnight before cooking. Cooked spelt grain can be added to soups, salads and casseroles for extra nutrition.
