Certified Sustainable is a product that has been developed from a decade of work undertaken by passionate farmers, agronomists and soil experts who make up a group called ASP (Australian Soil Planners). The end product is a delicious tasting spelt flour of the highest quality with a high nutritional content.
Our Sustainable White Spelt flour is roller milled as opposed to stoneground and has a delicious flavour that is slightly different to wheat based flours and with a wholesome nutty aftertaste.

Interesting Facts about Spelt
Spelt grain is also known as Dinkel wheat, an ancient grain that comes from the same genus as wheat but is not the same species.
Spelt grain was highly revered by the Greeks, who considered it a gift from the Goddess Demeter.
Spelt contains a softer form of gluten then its cousin wheat, and it also contains less. It is more soluble in water, making it easier to digest and rendering the nutrients more bio-available for absorption by the body. As a result, it is often the experience of those who cannot tolerate wheat, saying that they don’t get affected by spelt.
