Sunflower seeds are delicious toasted and sprinkled on salads, or just as snack on their own. They are a great addition to homemade muesli and muesli bars, and are also very completely delicious in seed based pesto. One of our favourite pesto combinations being parsley, sunflower seeds, garlic, lemon and olive oil. Sunflower seeds also make a wholesome ingredient in homemade bliss balls. So versatile and nutritious, you can experiment with them in any number of dishes.

Evidence suggests the North Americans were cultivating Sunflower seeds as early as 3000 BC. Some archeologists suggest it was domesticated before corn.
