Rice bran is the nutrient-rich outer hull of rice kernels that’s produced as a by-product of white rice processing . Having been used now for many years as a medicinal in the treatment of high cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes, rice bran is high in fibre, low in fat and rich in the minerals manganese, phosphorus, magnesium and iron, as well as being a good source of Vitamins B5 and B6. Rice bran is also a natural source of phytosterols, which provide support with blood-sugar levels, prostate health and cholesterol metabolism.
